Tipón

Tipón is a small town about a 45 minute (and < 50 cents!) bus ride outside of Cusco. It's home to a beautiful and quite large Inca ruin that isn't part of the typical tourist circuit and therefore not crowded at all. There's a really cool hiking trail above it all that runs on top of an Inca canal for who knows how far up and gives you great views of the ruin and the town. All in all an awesome self-guided day trip that'll cost you less than $20.
